Today marks the launch of our successor to the Roman de la Rose and Christine de Pizan websites: the Digital Library of Medieval Manuscripts. For those of you who have been following us since the project’s inception in 1996, this is a banner day. With the advent of a new viewer, and some freshening of the design, we’re proud to share this new site with you.
When the site first debuted in 2009, it had a decidedly different look, and was the work of village.
The 2018 version keeps the best parts of the old site, while enhancing the presentation of the images. We’ve learned a lot about the presentation of digital material in the ensuing years, and we look forward to your feedback.
